EXHIBITION PROPOSALSThe Kootenay Gallery of Art, History and Science welcomes exhibition proposals from artists and curators. Proposals should include a one-page artist's statement or curatorial premise, CDs, DVDs, slides or photographs of proposed work or works-in-progress, indication of previous work with documentation of all images of works, previous exhibition catalogues, curatorial writing and recent exhibition reviews, an updated curriculum vitae and a self-addressed, stamped envelope (if you wish your materials to be returned). EAST FEAST CALL TO ARTISTSEast FEAST Vancouver is accepting project grant proposals from artists or artist groups living or working in the Grandview-Woodland and Strathcona neighbourhoods. EAST FEAST is a micro-funding social event that directly supports local artists. Through ticket sales to this event, ticket holders will be served a beautiful meal while listening to the short-listed artist groups present their projects. Three finalists will present and compete for funding of their project at the community meal on June 1, 2014. After the presentations the ticket holders will vote on their favourite project.
