Western Gallery at Western Washington University features 5-6 temporary art exhibitions annually, concentrating on national and international art. The gallery is also responsible for Western’s Outdoor Sculpture Collection.

To Dec 8 Coded Threads: Textiles and Technology, features 14 visual artists who use new textile in their art.

Jan 9-Mar 16 Back to the Sandbox: Art and Radical Pedagogy. An international exhibition of artists who pose questions about the nature and significance of education.

REPRESENTING: Matt Browning, Dan Christensen, Walter de Maria, Lloyd Hamrol, Nancy Holt, Jasper Johns, Brice Marden, Agnes Martin, Bruce Nauman, Isamu Noguchi, Larry Poons, Robert Rauschenberg, Robert Ryman, George Trakas, and Cy Twombly.
