Located in the historic Banque d'Hochelaga building, Art Gallery of St. Albert features contemporary and community exhibitions, brought to life with community programs and events. Education programs offer visual arts opportunities for thousands of children, youth and adults throughout the year.

To Sep 2 Healing Process: Sima Elizabeth Shefrin, Darian Goldin Stahl, and Gerry Yaum. Three artists use their artistic practice to shed light on treatment, pain, and tragedy, and to reconcile their own emotions and understanding of their experiences.

To Sep 30 Dreaming of Canada: A Mail Art Project. Through the medium of Mail Art, the Dreaming of Canada project shares aspirations, hopes and impressions surrounding Canada. An array of artist’s works will be selected from the project for an exhibition that culminates during Alberta Culture Days.

Sep 7-30 The Prairies, the Maritimes and a Few Lakes. An artistic survey spanning many years. A celebration of the artist’s experiences, achievements and memories, it chronicles the wide geography of Canada with sentimental, yet thoughtful prose.

Oct 5-28 Inside Painting. Painter Peter Ivens describes himself as a student of the natural world. His classroom comprises the rivers, mountains and skies surrounding his home in the Bow River Valley. His practice is an evolving study of the wonders of nature, and his works respond to the ever-changing landscapes of colour, water and light in the Alberta wilderness.
